Faileasan Wallpaper Collection
Faileasan, pronounced falashan, means reflections in Scottish Gaelic. Mindful of our 45 elegant shades of Skye, our debut wallpaper collection complements our interior design offering beyond paint and into the realm of fine-art wallpaper and murals. A nuanced and seunmhor (pronounced shane vor, meaning enchanted) colour scheme has been used in this new collection which echoes the hues of the island as well as the paint range, combining both paint and paper for an immersive interior design experience.
Faileasan captivates the senses and lifts the spirits through artistic effects and abstract pattern inspired by the atmospheric phenomenon of the island, from glistening waters and pools to brooding weather and worldly mists.
This ethereal collection has been created for the Isle of Skye Paint Company by artist-designer Julia Sagias, following her trips to the island, when she quietly photographed and sketched its vast natural beauty. Through a process of careful observation each detail has been poetically translated into beautifully constructed surface designs.
These artistic reflections have now been brought to a wider audience through the medium of a wallpaper collection which brings a new aura and spirit of Skye to the modern, interior space.
